Yoga Instructor, RYT-200
Sabrina was born and raised in Munich, Germany. She moved to the Atlanta area withher family in 1996 knowing very little English. Being a young teenager at the time shelearned the language quickly and adapted to her new home. She met the love of herlife at only fifteen years old. They got married in 2006 and had their beautiful daughter,Bailey, a few years later. Sabrina home schools her daughter and enjoys spending asmuch time with her family as possibly hiking, exploring and playing together. Theyspend alot of time outdoors.
Sabrina first discovered yoga when she went through a very tough time in her life. She suffered from extreme anxiety, depression and was physically not fit. She tried many different workout routines but she felt that they lacked something she still needed. Then she stumbled upon a yoga video and immediately loved the calming feeling it left her with after just an hour of a few stretches and deep breathing. Sabrina continued with the videos but longed for more. She found a yoga studio close to her home and started taking classes regularly. She noticed that her anxiety and depression lessened and she felt stronger physically than she had in many years. After 6 years of a regular practice and many workshops, she decided to do her teacher training with Astrid Santana. She began teaching small groups during her training and knew then that teaching yoga is something she loved doing. She completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training and began teaching in studios around the area.
Sabrina’s classes focus on staying present, staying with your breath and allowing yourself to feel. She reminds her students to not worry too much about what one may look like in any asana but focus more on how we feel in those postures with proper alignment. She allows a safe space for her student to practice without judgment. She believes that yoga can heal as she has experienced this and is forever grateful to have found yoga.
Sabrina lives in Woodstock with her husband, daughter and two dogs.
